On Tuesday 14 May 2024, the Réseau Excellence Pays de la Loire association had the opportunity to discover the expertise of Chantier des Ileaux, a company that has specialised in the construction and restoration of traditional and composite wood boats since 2002. It was also an opportunity to talk about the know-how conservation programme.
We set off to discover the skills and know-how of a shipyard at Chantier des Ileaux, thanks to the testimony of its director : Frédéric Maingret. We observed the results of each stage of manufacture, from cutting to the different techniques used to meet the requirements of each customer.
