Campus Versailles

Inaugurated in 2021 in the heart of the Grande Écurie at the Château de Versailles, the Campus Versailles is a place of learning, practice, exchange and reflection dedicated to heritage professions and crafts of excellence. It is active in 5 sectors that embrace the richness and excellence of our heritage: built heritage, art and design, horticulture and landscaping, gastronomy and cultural tourism.

A joint initiative of the Château de Versailles, the Académie de Versailles, CY Cergy Paris Université and the Ile-de-France Region, with the support of the Secrétariat Général Pour I'Investissement (SGPI), the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller and the Fondation Engie, as well as the support of the Ministère de la Culture, the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur and the Région Ile de France for the works, the Campus Versailles is a collective, innovative and multi-partner project that brings together players : companies, professional sectors, local authorities, government departments, public and private training operators, all rallying around a strong conviction: heritage trades and crafts have a major role to play in building the world of tomorrow. To help young people blossom and develop vocations and businesses, the center offers innovative training programs that emphasize hands-on experience, collaboration and knowledge of trades and materials, as well as shared workshop spaces.

Currently operating on a pilot site of 1,000m2, the Versailles Campus is currently undergoing a works campaign that will see it occupy both wings of the Grande Écurie by 2026, representing 6,000m2 of space dedicated to training courses, exhibitions, artisans' residences and an application restaurant.

The Campus has set itself 4 key missions to promote and support the renewal of these sectors: training, guidance and education.
