Société de la Ciergerie Lourdaise

The Ciergerie de Lourdes was created in 1928 to meet the ever-increasing demand of pilgrims in this city. They use two manufacturing methods: by dipping (the wick held vertically on a frame is immersed several times in a paraffin bath at constant temperature, until the desired size is obtained) and by molding (the molds of different sizes are filled with liquid paraffin and allow the manufacture of large dimensions).
